9 month check up

Well... Ms. Lillian is 17 lbs. (25th percentile) 28 inches long (75th percentile) and her head circum was 45.5cm (90th percentile... they said "perfect") :D :D.... They asked what she is up to now.... and said that she seems to be right on track.

They tested her iron levels and she has mild anemia. So, they want to do a full blood draw again with in the next week or so. She said that she came back 10.5 and they like to see 11. She said that we may need to switch her vitamins to one with iron. She said that her movements appear less rigid, smoother and looser. Yeah! :)

The Labial Fusion, is MUCH better. All in all she had a very good visit. We return for her 12 month check up. She will see her Neurosurgeon in between. (November 2nd)

So.... I have a question for you all... Do any of you notice a sudden change in your babies? I can't really explain it... the best way is like they have progressed in their development and they see the World around them in a different way? It's like a "spurt." I notice when Lily experiences this she tends to overstimulate easier until she gets used to the changes. I tried to explain it to her Dr... Maybe I just pay to close attention to everything. LOL I am very curious if any one else see's this or am I just a "freak." LOL

Lowered El' Cribo again today

Ken lowered Lily's crib again today. I have noticed that she has been grabbing onto the railing.. and it will only be a matter of time before she learns to pull up!

We take her tomorrow for her 9 month well baby check, and for the Dr. to check on the labial fusion. (which looks SO much better)

I have been having some milk supply issues during a certain time of the month. I am concerned that Lily isn't getting enough milk and I am not able to produce enough milk to pump. So, I decided to buy a can of formula to try and supplement her during these times. I mixed some up and put it in her sippy cup with dinner... um.. she was NOT impressed.... she gagged and shuttered multiple times. :/ I guess I will try it again sometime but I am going to speak her her Dr. about it tomorrow.

So, I will return tomorrow with her newest "stats."

Little Lil-Lil is 9 months today!

Really!!? Where has the time gone? She is such a HUGE joy to our family. She has been chatting it up a lot lately. "BA" is one of her new noises... she likes to sing it loudly too. She now has both of her bottom teeth... and has started to be a little restless again, so I am beginning to wonder if the top two are on their way?? She is perfecting her "crawl." She has started to get a little knee and leg action in there... and is really picking up speed. Our kitty, Chloe was really surprised by this last night. hehehe...... She will learn. I swear that Lily sometimes is making a noise that sounds like "kitty." When she is on the move she is very "breathy" and the noises that she makes is absolutely adorable!

So, I have been pretty busy trying to finish up one website and beginning another one in the midst of our oldest daughter's "teen drama." I don't typically say much about our oldest here b/c this is Lily's Blog but I will say that raising a teen can be a daunting and challenging task at best! Each day I pray that God gives us the strength and wisdom to continue to guide her the best that we are able.

Working towards "Financial Peace."

Lily wanted to get in on Dave Ramsey's financial program too. So, she is pitching in by helping us eat "Beans and Rice."

Sick visit........

So, Ms. Lily has been pretty irritable the last few days. Ken, Tori and I have all had a cold or allergies with in the last two weeks. When I took her for her 6 month well visit; she also had a Labial fusion. So her Dr. wrote a rx for Premarin (Estrogen) Cream to be used twice daily for two weeks. When I took her back she was still partially fused but her Dr. felt that she should be "ok" and advised that I try to apply Vaseline in that area on a regular basis. So, I have been doing that however, here lately just trying to get a diaper on her is like wrestling a alligator. (or what I would imagine it would be like..lol) She is SO busy and on the move that she really has better things to do. :D Yesterday I noticed that she appeared to be completely fused again! :( I still have the huge tube of Premarin cream so, I started her back on it last night. I decided to make her a "sick visit" today as well. I wanted to make sure that she wasn't fussy due to ears, or urinary symptoms. I am pretty confident that she is not showing "hydro" symptoms.

Today she was 17 lbs and 1 oz. If I had to guess I'd say that she is 30 inches or more! (We will find out on the 29th) She is SOOOO long. Her clothes slide off if she is not wearing a cloth diaper! She is long and LEAN. Anyway, Her ears are fine and she is fused again. But, the Dr was pretty confident that her symptoms are not urinary. She did instruct me to start the Premarin cream again (I told her that I already had) for the next two weeks. If she is not better when we go back for her 9 month check up on the 29th she is going to refer us to a urologist. :/ Soooooo..... She is pretty confident that the cause of her fussiness and pain is...... TEETH. Poor baby!

Her Dr. (we try and see the same one) was once again blown away by her. She said that she is so smart! She said that everything she is doing is amazing and that she really is advanced. She see's "normal" babies that are not as active or curious as she is. :D

Where to start??

We have had an eventful couple of weeks. My oldest daughter spent the entire summer at her dads and returned home last week. We have absolutely enjoyed her this last week. Things were a bit strained when she left for her dad's in the beginning of the summer. She starts school tomorrow and will be a Junior! It's hard to believe that in a few short years she will be thinking about leaving the nest. Lets see.... Lily's first tooth has finally broken through the skin and her second one will be following behind shortly. She has been SO irritable this last week. This makes me realize just how sweet her personality is normally. See her new addition?? She really likes cherrios. She is so cute to watch eat them too. Here is a cute photo of her laying on the floor......

Which was followed by this!!!!
