Neurosurgeon Visit........

Lily's ultrasound went well. He wasn't able to see much change from the last scan. Her ventricles are still large but they may remain that way. Her fontanel is getting smaller so he said that we may not be able to see what is going on like this much longer. We will have to discuss that on her next visit a month from now. He doesn't want to do regular CT's sooo, I'm not sure what the option will be. Her head circumference this time was 42 and he said that was perfect. :D All in all... we had a very good appointment!

Hooray for an overall good appointment!

What wonderful words to hear that her head size is perfect! 42 cm sounds like a comfortable size. Cayman's head size never was able to reach that low of a circumference without over draining her ventricles too quickly. She's always stayed right around 46 cm since her shunt placement. I was happy when she finally fit into bigger clothes so I could get them over her head. For the first 5 months she mostly lived in sleepers since I didn't have to pull those over her head.

Isn't it great to have a a good appointment? And hearing the word "perfect" associated with her head must have been music to your ears!
Little Man only had one U/S, his soft spot closed up so we couldn't see anything after he was 4 months old. He has had 2 MRI's & 2 CT's since.
